The move is complete and seems to have gone successful. Let me know if you have any issues. It seems faster to me, but i would appreciate feedback. I'll post a poll to see what others think.
Wilsonspot.com has found a new home and is working again. After a short outage (alright, it was a week or so) the exodus from the old host is finished and the migration to the new host complete. Everything is functional (as some of you have noticed already) and ready for use.
The new host is GoDaddy.com (some of you may have seen them on the superbowl commercials) and apparently the godaddy girl is not the only thing that is large there. We now have 100 GB of web space (5 times the previous 20 GB at the old host – and for $2 a month less) and 1 terabyte (that’s 1000 GB) of transfer a month. What does this mean? It means we have a lot of freaking space and practically unlimited transfer so post those pictures away – I don’t think we will run out of space anytime soon. Also with all the extra transfer bandwidth, feel free to make some public albums and send your friends and family to the site to check it out.
Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.
Some of you may have noticed the site being down a bit today. Well, my web host had database issues and messed things up pretty bad. I have been able to restore most, but am still having some issues.
Becuase of this, I've found a new host that I plan to move to in the next couple of days and get my money back from the old host.
In the mean time, please don't add anything new as it might not make it to the new site. I'll shut the site down when i do the actual move. I'm not sure about the integrity of the current database so another reason not to trust it.
Thanks for the patience and sorry for the problems - i guess thats what happens when you go with a cheap host.
